Not only that, but game boards take a beating so we’ve decided to make the most protective finish, lamination, the default board finish. Since our boards are generally produced from (at least) 2mm high-density paperboard they require lamination because it’s the best finish for thicker material. Gloss adds a reflective shine, while matte adds a duller shine and smoother touch.
When choosing a board finish, you only need to select a style (gloss or matte).
